Oldtime, Bluegrass, Traditionals - quel que soit le nom de cette musique, Wilma Lee et Stoney Cooper l'ont préservée en tant que partie intégrante de la musique country. Ils ont chanté et joué leur style mieux que quiconque avant et après. Le Grand Ole Opry et le Wheeling Jamboree en ont fait des vedettes....et ce, depuis les années 1940.

Cet ensemble de 4 CD contient tous les enregistrements de Wilma Lee et Stoney Cooper pour Rich-R-Tone, Columbia et Hickory. Tous les enregistrements des années 1947 à 1964 ont été enregistrés. Des classiques traditionnels comme Little Rosewood Casket, Wicked Path Of Sin, Tramp On The Street, Willy Roy The Crippled Boy, Walking My Lord Up Calvary's Hill, Thirty Pieces Of Silver, Ain't Gonna Work Tomorrow et beaucoup d'autres peuvent être entendus. Ils ont également enregistré la version originale de I Dreamed Of Hillbilly Heaven, bien qu'elle n'ait pas encore été publiée (elle est également incluse ici). 

Après avoir signé avec Hickory en 1955, le duo a réalisé plusieurs de ses meilleurs enregistrements à l'ancienne, et ils ont obtenu des succès comme Cheated Too, Come Walk With Me, Big Midnight Special, There's A Big Wheel, Johnny My Love, This Ole House et Wreck On The Highway. Ils sont tous ici, comme tous les autres enregistrements hickory existants. Les meilleurs auteurs-compositeurs de son temps - dont Don Gibson, les Louvins et Boudleaux Bryant - ont écrit pour elle, et Wilma Lee elle-même a contribué quelques titres.

Stoney Cooper est décédée en 1977, et Wilma Lee a continué à jouer et à travailler dur pour garder la musique qu'elle aimait et popularisée vivante pour les générations futures. Cet ensemble est un véritable trésor de musique classique et traditionnelle américaine - chantée et jouée avec passion par certains des meilleurs musiciens des années 40, 50 et 60.
