Roland Van Campenhout est une légende vivante, l'archétype d'un type d'artiste presque disparu - celui du magicien du son, fermement enraciné dans le blues et le folk, mais en même temps ouvert à presque tous les genres, qu'ils soient appelés ethno, jazz ou psychédéliques. Adolescent, inspiré par le classique beatnik "On the Road" de Jack Kerouac comme philosophie de vie, il a fait partie d'un combo de skiffle. A partir de la fin des années 1960, l'homme à la barbe de catweazle s'est tourné de plus en plus vers le blues, a joué pendant un certain temps dans le groupe de Rory Gallagher, et à partir de 2000, il y a eu des coopérations avec des interprètes belges de crossover beaucoup plus jeunes, comme par exemple Sioen. 

Avec Somewhere In The Mountains paraît un nouvel album live sur 2CD + DVD ou alternativement sur 2LP + DVD + livret. L'album propose sur chaque premier support sonore des enregistrements de la Kitchen Recording Series, qui contiennent également un Songbook ; sur le CD 2 ou le LP 2, un enregistrement de concert au théâtre Der Keller à Cologne. Le DVD présente des extraits de différents concerts donnés ces dernières années dans ce même théâtre.
