'THE !!! BEAT' IS BACK

Once THE !!! BEAT was only a legend. Fans and collectors heard that there was a television show in the mid-1960s that captured the absolute very best of the soul and R&B singers of the day. Some said it was made in Nashville and some said that it was made in Dallas. Musicians remembered working on the show and a few people remembered seeing it, but no one seemed to know what had happened to it. Did the tapes still exist? How many shows were there? Who exactly was on it?

Now, nearly forty years later Bear Family answers all the questions. All the episodes still exist! It really was a fabulous show! It really was in color! It really did feature the absolute best of the soul and R&B acts of the day! And whereas once just fragments of the shows made their way onto bootlegs, now the entire series is available in first-generation quality. It has been a long time coming, but now THE !!! BEAT is back!

Soul music is bigger than ever now, just as the original practitioners are dying off or performing way past their prime. Revivalists like Joss Stone often only emphasize how great the originals were in their day, so here is a reminder of what REAL soul music was like from the absolute original masters. There were 26 THE !!! BEAT shows, and many of the performances were live in the studio with a backup band led by the terrific Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown. Here are just a few of the original soul and R&B stars captured in their prime:

THE !!! BEAT IS BACK !

Pendant longtemps, THE ! !!!!!!! BATTRE un peu plus qu'une rumeur. Les fans et les collectionneurs avaient entendu parler d'une émission de télévision du milieu des années soixante, dans laquelle la crème de l'âme et des stars du R&B de l'époque auraient fait leur apparition. Le tout aurait été enregistré à Nashville. Ou à Dallas ?! Certains artistes se souvenaient aussi d'y avoir participé, mais personne ne savait exactement ce qu'il en était devenu. Est-ce que les bandes originales étaient encore là ? Combien d'éditions de ce spectacle ont été présentées ? Qui était là exactement ?

Après presque 40 ans, Bear Family a maintenant toutes les réponses : toutes les conséquences existent toujours ! C'était vraiment un grand spectacle ! Entièrement en couleur ! Et il y avait vraiment les étoiles ultimes ! Et alors qu'à certains moments des fragments sont apparus sur des bootlegs schedderigen, il y a maintenant l'ensemble du paquet - dans la qualité des bandes originales définitives. Cela a pris un certain temps, mais maintenant c'est clair : LE ! !!!!!! BEAT est de nouveau disponible !

Soul est actuellement en plein essor - bien que de nombreux artistes originaux soient partis depuis longtemps et que d'autres ne soient plus dans leur ancienne classe. De jeunes artistes comme Joss Stone donnent une idée de la façon dont les enregistrements originaux de nombreuses chansons ont sonné. Nous avons maintenant les meilleurs experts en vraie musique soul.

Il y a eu un total de 26 spectacles de THE ! !!!!!! BEAT - de nombreux concerts ont été donnés en studio avec un groupe d'accompagnement sous la direction du gigantesque Clarence'Gatemouth' Brown.
